  • Self-DIRI (Deinstall/Reinstall)

  • The Self Deinstall-Reinstall (Delf-DIRI) option is designed for franchisees who prefer to manage the deinstallation and reinstallation of their Indoor Digital Menu Board (IDMB) panels, without Coates support. By submitting this registration form, you are notifying Coates of your intention to undertake Self-DIRI for your hardware.

    Before proceeding, please note the following:


    Eligibility and Hardware Requirements: 
    • Only existing Samsung panels qualify for Self-DIRI. Legacy NEC IDMB components installed by NCR/Texas Digital are not supported.
    • Self-DIRI is not supported if any additional hardware is being purchased or required (e.g., mounting rails).
       → If you plan to purchase any additional items (such as an Outdoor Digital Menu Board), please submit a separate form for that scope. 
    •  Self-DIRI is only supported when hardware is being reinstalled in the same orientation, as Media Players will need to be re-commissioned if you wish to change from Landscape to Portrait to or vice versa.
    • You must be enrolled in the DD-Remodel Program within your Franchisee portal.

  • Warranty features:

    OSB - Standard Warranty at no cost:

    • Valid for 3 years from date of install.
    • 7-10 business days for replacement.
    • Technician dispatched to attempt to repair on site; if repair is not feasible a replacement panel is ordered.
    • Restaurant team is responsible for packaging and return of failed panel in box from replacement panel.
      • If panel not returned within 30 days, site will be charged $515 plus tax and shipping for the replacement panel.
    • Restaurant team is responsible for reinstall of replacement panel; Technician Service option for $210.

    OSB - Optional Extended Warranty by request only at a cost of $380:

    • Valid for 5 years from date of install
    • Next Business Day replacement (Mon-Fri) if order placed before 2pm CT on previous business day.
    • White Glove Service: Technician dispatched to perform deinstall of failed panel & reinstall of replacement panel at no charge; Technician removes failed panel from site.

  • Can I lease the DMB?
    Yes! You can lease your DMB through Huntington Technology Finance. They will send you a document with all of the information on how to proceed with that process. 

     

    How soon can I get my DMB installed? 
    After Coates' quote is signed and submitted, there is a 12-week lead time to installation, pending permit approvals.

     

    What if I don’t know my construction completion date?
    If you have questions regarding your construction completion date, you can reach out to your construction manager for more information

     

    What happens once I complete this quote request?

    How am I notified of my DMB install date?
    An email will be forwarded to you after the quote is signed introducing your deployment project manager. They will be your direct point of contact and are responsible for communicating your DMB installation date.. It is your responsibility to keep us informed of any scheduling changes that are needed.

     

    I have been approved for an All-In-One Canopy/DMB order point.  What are the next steps?
    Upon approval from Dunkin’, DMB panels (only) are ordered through Coates and the canopy order point can be ordered through one of the partners below:

    Do I need to acquire a permit?
    Permits are dependent on your municipality. Please reach out to your local municipality for more information on what is required for your location.  

    What is included in Site Preparation (Prep)?

    Site Prep includes Coates installers doing the work to ensure network connections and electrical outlets are in place (i.e. running Cat6 Cables). This helps avoid additional costs, rescheduling, or failed installations.

    Alternatively, if Site Verification is selected, your General Contractor will complete this work according to a prep binder they will receive from the Coates Deployment Team. Coates installers will verify the work was done properly after.

    I have multiple locations; do I need to complete a separate Request For Quote for all of them separately?
    Yes, it is important that we have all of the specific information for each location.
